Connecting teachers across the globe through Helium

Helium and Teachers Without Borders cosponsored a writing contest in November and December of 2009. Some highlights and reasons why you should invite your favorite non-profits to partner for contests with Helium:

  • New members joined both Helium and Teachers Without Borders throughout the contest.
  • Over 100 writers created nearly 400 content-rich articles that spread the causes and Teachers Without Borders name expansively on the Internet.
  • Teachers Without Borders members were energized within that organization through engagement opportunities from their website to Helium's. Helium was the #1 source of web traffic to that site throughout the contest period.
  • Writers shared in a larger pool of contest earnings becausae both Helium and Teachers Without Borders chipped in matching funds.
  • This non-profit partner had extensive free ads to heighten name recognition throughout the contest, capitalizing on Helium's hundreds of thousands of members.
  • Most importantly, a body of expert information was created -- and remains available to educators throughout the world through the contest articles that remain on Helium.com.

If you'd like to share your non-profit partner with Helium, write to help@helium.com, subject line "non-profit partner" inquiry.
